H is for Hershey and our first new hoodie in years

America’s sweetest intersection, Chocolate and Cocoa avenues,

on our new certified organic all-cotton hooded sweatshirt.

It’s an iconic image, a street light bearing signs that identify the intersection of Chocolate and Cocoa avenues in the heart of The Chocolate Town, Hershey, Pa.

We introduced the throwback design last year in cream ink on a burgundy short-sleeve tee.

While printing more of the tees this fall, we also added the design to a brown (technically “bark”) certified organic all-cotton hooded sweatshirt, complete with drawstring and pouch pocket.

This is our first hoodie since 2017, when we introduced the Stay brand and with it a Chocolate Town hoodie.

That first hoodie was 50 percent cotton, 50 percent polyester. It was comfortable, but it didn’t age as well as I would have liked. Specifically, the fabric was prone to pilling.

We have more confidence in the all-cotton version as we have two years of experience with its crewneck cousin, which we use for our Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful sweatshirt.

Crewneck or hoodie, they’re the same weight (7.2 ounces per square yard, to be specific) that makes for a perfect top layer in cool weather and middle layer in cold temperatures.

You can order the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful crewneck here and the new Hershey Chocolate and Cocoa hoodie here.
